Country Dancing

Enjoyment, fun and laughter are the aims of the group.

You do not need any knowledge of dancing and you do not need to bring a partner.

We walk through each dance before “dancing” it.
We dance to recorded music and have a break at half time with tea, coffee and biscuits.
No previous experience is necessary. Everyone dances at their own pace; some skip or gallop, others walk!
Sitting out to watch is allowed too.

The Country Dancers have been trying out some new dances to add to our repertoire. Some are quite simple but others are more
complex and still need further practice. Fortunately we have managed to avoid too many collisions!
We are continuing our long term work on Alabama Jubilee. Some keen dancers even asked to dance Alabama Jubilee twice so that
we could improve on our first attempt. There’s dedication for you!
There is satisfaction when the dances are successfully completed and hilarity, verging on hysteria when we muddle things up. So a
good time is had by all throughout the afternoon.
