Walking - 5 6 7 miles

There is still room for you if you would like to join the Walks 567 group.
We are a friendly group of walkers who set off from prearranged locations at 10 o'clock on the third and fifth Thursday of each month.

We walk through lovely countryside for 5, 6 or 7 miles and enjoy talking and laughing as we go. However, some members aren't so keen on dogs and we have voted not to allow dogs in our group!

The company is always friendly, conversation is lively and laughter keeps us going with a spring in our step! …… Well, not always. If it’s a very steep hill we might huff and puff and plod quietly to the top in that case, with some stops to “admire the view”!

Walks often conclude with lunch or drinks at a nearby pub or cafe.

Walking has been challenging during the wet months recently. Members of the group have struggled to find routes that can be completed without becoming knee deep in water or mud.
We have enjoyed sliding along between Ramsbury and Aldbourne, from Collingbourne Kingston to Everleigh, Pewsey to Milkhouse Water and Milton Lilbourne. Fortunately there have been excellent views, friendly conversations and laughter to keep us going.
Some of the best parts of our walks lately have been the pub lunches afterwards! The Waterfront Bistro at Pewsey Wharf, The Barleycorn at Collingbourne Kingston and The Bell at Ramsbury have all hosted us and provided excellent meals and drinks.
